ganjingregg asked: Hey, what inspired you to take such beautiful photo's? My favorites the ones of New York!
I took a photography class in middle school. It was nothing special. But I took it and I really enjoyed going out during class and just finding small stuff that I could make interesting around our school. I think that’s when it started because I started seeing things, really seeing them differently. I kept taking photos with a small digital camera my dad bought me for my trips to California and when I got into high school I took two more photo classes. Before those classes, a young local photographer contacted me and asked me to be her intern. I went on photo shoots with her, she taught me how to shoot in RAW and how to meter properly. I learned almost everything I know from her. She taught me how to edit and I learned how I liked to edit. When I took my high school classes, I knew more than the teacher but she wasn’t really teaching any valuable information. Then when I got into college and started black and white film, everything became so clear. I have learned so much and I finally understood things that other teachers had made very confusing to me. I think I still have alot to learn and I’m no where near a “professional” but that’s the fun part I think, seeing what else you have to learn.
And thank you! I love all the photos I got in New York, I hope I can go back soon, I absolutely loved it. There is alot to photograph there, alot more than Wyoming ha!
